Fire Protection Tanks Filled

This morning, ANEC contacted our department to request assistance with filling two fire protection tanks that supply their buildings sprinkler systems. Due to a malfunction, the pumps that typically fill the tanks, are in need of repair and not working presently.
With the assistance of Tasley Vol. Fire Company and Parksley Volunteer Fire Company, Inc, we were able to fill these tanks with approximately 50,000 gallons of water. To make things somewhat more challenging, the only way to fill the tanks was from the roof man hatch. Ladder 9 was used to direct the water into these tanks.
We are happy to help make our community safer with partners like ANEC and mutual aid public safety organizations.
